It was written for a concert of Alea III, on which the songs were premiered by soprano Susan Lambert and pianist Thomas Stumpf. Subsequent performances by: Utah Composers Consortium, Crosscurrents, Amy Lalime with the composer, and Nancy Armstrong with Anthony Tommasini. ----- The audio recording provided is used with the permission of the composer and features soprano Susanna Phillips and pianist Donald Berman.
