Henry Wadsworth Longfellow "Canto I" is a setting of Longfellow's translation of "Canto VI" of the Inferno by Dante Alighieri. The setting is for tenor, horn and piano for four hands and structurally, is similar to Benjamin Britten's, "Serenade" for tenor, horn and strings.
