James Tate

Known for his surrealist poetry, James Tate has won the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. His poetry has been set to music by Charles Wuorinen and David Leisner. He was a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and taught at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
